Life is so much better with the right combination of spices! Here’s a recipe for a tasty filling that can be used in a whole wheat wrap or sandwich.

1-2 tsp. canola or olive oil
1 whole wheat pita bread
Spice mix:
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. ground coriander
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. crushed garlic
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Salad filling:
½ medium red pepper, thinly sliced
A handful of cherry tomatoes, chopped
2 handfuls of baby spinach leaves [mkdf_accordion_tab icon_pack=”” title=”Method”][vc_column_text]Mix ingredients for spice mix in a bowl until well combined.
Place chicken in bowl and rub with spice mix making sure the chicken is well coated. Cover with cling film and allow to marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge.
Heat a non-stick frying pan with 1-2 tsp. canola or olive oil. Add chicken strips and cook through until lightly browned.
To serve, layer salad filling and chicken within the pita bread.
